Schools Policy Statement on the Recruitment of Ex-Offenders
We are looking for a committed, flexible, reflective Teaching Assistant at Greenhill. You will be supporting children in class, under the direction of the class teacher, running interventions, working with children with additional needs and playing a full part of our team.
Please state on your application your preference to work in either EY, KS1 or KS2.
We know that one size does not fit all; we know that children come to school from a whole range of environments; we know that adults (parents, carers, staff) come to school with different experiences; we know that there isn’t one way to be, one way to learn, one way to teach; and we know that working at our school can be rewarding, tough, fun and challenging.
We value relationships, support and have high expectations for our pupils and staff, so that we develop and fulfil our potential together.
This post is temporary until July 2024.
Usual working hours are Monday – Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm term time only.
You can contact our friendly office staff to arrange a visit, when one of our senior leaders will have time to show you round our school and answer any questions.
Closing date: Thursday 6 July 2023 @ 10.30am
Interviews: w/c 10 July 2023
If you decide to apply, please complete the application form in full – we are not allowed to accept CVs. You must ensure there are no unexplained gaps in your employment history.
We would also like a covering letter, of no more than 2 side of A4, telling us about yourself and why you would be the best person for this role at Greenhill.
References – please note we will take up your references if you are shortlisted. Please make sure one referee is the head teacher from your current school or most recent school, and the second referee is not based in the same school.
Thank you – we look forward to meeting you soon.

If shortlisted, you will be required to disclose relevant information regarding criminal history and an on-line search will be conducted. This includes only information publicly available on-line.
